Remote Education

Remote Learning

At Haughmond Schools, we are committed to ensuring that all pupils continue to learn when they are unable to attend school due to school closure or other exceptional circumstances.

If the School Closes

If an emergency requires the school to close, such as severe weather, families will be informed as soon as possible by text message. Updates will also be shared on our website and, where appropriate, through local media.

Unless parents are notified that the school is closed, pupils should attend school as normal.

Remote Learning Arrangements

  • Teachers will send parents a message through Class Dojo outlining the learning plan for the day.
  • Work will be available on Class Dojo by 9.00 am each day.
  • Pupils can submit completed work electronically for feedback from their teacher.
  • Learning will be aligned to the curriculum being taught in school wherever possible.
  • Teachers will provide appropriate feedback and support to help pupils make progress.

Accessing Learning

We aim to ensure that all pupils can access learning at home. Where required, we will work with families to provide suitable support and alternative resources.

Supporting Pupils

We recognise that some pupils may need additional support to access remote learning. Staff will work with families to ensure learning is adapted appropriately, including for pupils with SEND.

Keeping in Touch

Parents who require support with remote learning or accessing online resources should contact the school office.
